LETTER of the WEEK......."H" Houses, Hats, Hippos Hooray!
The real "H" story of the week.................HEALTH..........these poor little ones have been hit hard with the 'BUG'. We hope everyone is healthy this weekend. We have sanitized our classrooms and will be ready for Monday.

MATH: The number 8. Eight is great! “Make an S, but do not wait, go back up and close the gate.”

RELIGION: The month of November we give thanks for everything God has given us. We are learning the Lord’s Prayer too.

Oh when the saints, go marching in, Oh when the saints go marching in….In honor of All Saints Day, the 2nd graders came marching in dressed as Saints they chose. The students shared what made their Saint special.

The Butterflies class created cards for our Veterans that will be sent to the Veterans Hospital here in Indianapolis. November is a wonderful month to show our gratitude; God, Family and this wonderful country that we live in!

REMINDERS:
We start the day with Circle Time. This is a very important part of your child’s day. While we understand that mornings can be hectic and family time is important please know that learning time begins first thing in the morning. Please try to get your child here for our 8:00 a.m. start time.

LITERACY
This week we read two classic stories, The House That Jack Built by Jeanette Winter and Jennie’s Hat by Ezra Jack Keats. The children built their own homes, using different shapes, colors and were able to make connections between family and home. The children then used a mix of media to create their own “spruce up” their “plain” hat.
